Wake up to this WINTER yogurt breakfast bowl made with in-season fruit and a superfood granola.
Granola is one of my favorite things to make in the oven. The combinations are endless and I love adding my new go-to “superfoods” to amp the nutritional profile and add fun flavors and textures.
This one does not disappoint! Made with oats, silvered almonds and cinnamon.. in other words, ingredients you probable have sitting in your pantry already!
This granola is also made with Manitoba Harvest hemp seeds which are rich in plant protein and contain healthy fats including omega-3s which are important for brain and heart health. Hemp is THE superfood to watch in 2018 – in fact, they contain twice the amount of protein of chia and flax seeds and are lower in carbohydrates. Because they are mild and nutty in taste, they are a versatile addition to sweet and savory dishes – from your baked goods to your soups and pastas. As a dietitian, I love that they are an easy way to boost the nutrition of any dish. Sprinkle a little onto your morning oatmeal or yogurt for added staying power.
