Raw No Added Sugar Brownie Bites made with six ingredients and no oven needed!
Celebrating the tail end of summer with another no-bake dessert! This time with a nutritious twist on a classic favorite: BROWNIES!
If you have been following Nutrition By Mia for some time now, you know I am all about natural sweeteners and using 6-ingredients or less.
This is definitely one of those recipes. Raw desserts are perfect for summer because they don’t require you to turn on the oven. These brownie bites are made with a handful of ingredients that may already be sitting in your pantry. They are naturally sweetened with Natural Delights Medjool Dates. I love the pitted variety because it saves me some work in the kitchen.
I am ALWAYS recommending Medjool dates as a natural sweetener in baked goods (and savory recipes!) to my clients.
Unlike refined sugar which is pure carbohydrates (no satiating mechanism), dates add sweetness but are also a good source of fiber which slows down the release of sugar into the blood stream, thus preventing those spikes and dips in energy. Many do not realize that Medjool dates have 50% more potassium than bananas by weight which is good for post workout recovery.
These are a great no-bake dessert for summer that is easy to whip up. They store well (in the fridge or freezer) and will satisfy that sweet craving any time of the day. If you make these, be sure to share with me on Insta!
