5-ingredient dark chocolate peanut butter oat squares!
Satisfy your sweet tooth with this better-for-you nutrient dense dessert with benefits. Naturally sweetened with banana and made with nutrient-dense peanuts and peanut butter. 1 handful of peanuts (a ~1 ounce serving) contains 7 grams of plant protein and 19 different vitamins & minerals including B vitamins, vitamin E, zinc, copper, magnesium, potassium.
For the base of this recipe, I used whole grain oats which are a good source of filling fiber and B vitamins which help convert the food we eat into energy.
Feel free to make these ahead of time and enjoy all week long. you also omit the chocolate chips if you want to lower the sugar content and make them picnic-friendly.

Ingredients
- 2 large bananas or 3 small bananas
- 1 1/3 cup cup quick oats
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together mashed banana, oats and peanut butter until combined. Transfer to a nonstick 8 x 8 baking pan and spread in an even layer. Top with peanuts and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until set. Allow to cool for 20-30 minutes before slicing into squares.
