If I had to choose one healthy ingredient swap to be my favorite, it would be beans in BAKED GOODS.
While I haven’t turned all of my friends and family members into converts just yet, it is just a matter of time.
Beans can be swapped for butter in some baked goods and add a fudge-like, melt in your mouth texture. Not to mention a punch of plant protein and fiber.
Blondies or brownies, take your pick! If you are still in search of a healthier Halloween treat, this would be a fun sweet and spooky dessert to share with friends and family. They are made with the Dunya Harvest Organic black beans and chickpeas. Their beans are lower in sodium, gluten-free and fully cooked so I simply drain them before adding them to my blondie or brownie batter.
Have you ever added beans to your baked good? Let me know and if you make these, be sure to share with me on Instagram!
