A bite-sized, veggie-filled, high protein snack made with low mercury Safe Catch Seasoned Elite Wild Tuna and crusty sourdough bread.
We made it to FRIDAY!
I am happy to be home in Charleston after spending a few days in Cleveland, Ohio with the Nestle team. I learned so much at their headquarters – how they develop their products and how they are making them more nutritious for consumers. Stay tuned for a recap!
I have been holding onto this quick recipe for a few weeks and am so excited to share. I have been on a tuna KICK for the past month. It is such a easy, high-quality protein source and there are so many ways to enjoy it from salads, to atop crusty sourdough.
These are reminiscent of tuna melts which is such a comfort meal from my childhood!
Tuna is one of those proteins that I always have on hand in my cupboard and is my go-to on especially busy days and at the end of the week when the fridge is empty.
These BITES are made with Safe Catch Seasoned Elite Wild Tuna which comes in six different flavors. I used the Garlic Herb flavor (which is my favorite). It has aromatic herbs including oregano, basil, rosemary, garlic, onion, chili pepper and avocado oil. As a dietitian, this is my go-to tuna because it has the lowest mercury on the market, no additives or fillers and it is even safe for pregnant women.
