The holiday season is officially underway and with it comes a lot of excitement but also a lot of stress.
Between gift-buying, parties, entertaining and wrapping up loose ends at work before the new year, everyone could use some simplification in their life!
I am one of those people who really values making meals from scratch with all fresh ingredients. I am incredibly picky about pre-made items and always check the ingredient list. I know that these meals can be a saving grace during busy weeks when it’s easy to let your healthy eating habits fall by the wayside.
Good Food Made Simple recently sent me some of their foods so sample. I am sent food products all the time and not all of them make it to the blog since I am specific about what I like to share. I immediately fell in love with their products because of their simple and real food ingredient lists and delicious options like their buttermilk and blueberry waffles, southwestern veggie burrito and steel cut oatmeal varieties, to name a few.
As a dietitian, I am a big advocate of focusing on food quality when it comes to store-bought items.
Always look at the ingredient list and avoid products with too many fillers and additives. A short and simple, real food ingredient list is always a good idea!
