Strawberry oatmeal NESTS for busy mornings and afternoons.
A whole grain bite made with in-season strawberries and creamy vanilla yogurt. Pack these on the go or enjoy for a quick weekday morning brekkie!
As a busy RD running between clients and TV stations, I am all about easy and healthy. These definitely fit the bill!
I’ve used ingredients that I almost always have on hand – bananas, oatmeal, cinnamon and lately: STRAWBERRIES.
One cup of strawberries packs more vitamin C than an orange. Not to mention that they are in season! Seasonal produce is higher in nutrition, more affordable and tastes the best because it has been picked at its seasonal peak.
These nests are also made with vanilla yogurt but you can get creative with blueberry, peach or even plain jazzed up with seasonal fruit.
The vanilla and strawberry flavors just work!
With Mother’s Day this weekend, these would make a fun and easy breakfast. Tune in to CBS WSPA Your Carolina this Friday for more Mother’s Day food and gift ideas.
