5-ingredients & 5 minutes of prep time… say no more on a Monday! Enjoy this quick lean protein on a bed of greens. It’s even tender & juicy enough to be shredded & enjoyed on taco Tuesday (hello, tomorrow night’s dinner). This crockpot chicken is made with San-J’s new Hoisin Cooking Sauce for a little bit of savory and a little bit of sweet.
It’s Monday and we could all use a little help with dinner!
Many of my clients work full time jobs and scramble to get dinner on the table. Often that means health goes by the wayside and convenience takes precedence.
Why not have both?
That is why I am ALL about the crockpot, especially as we transition to cold weather and warmer meals. Simply throw your five ingredients into your crockpot a few hours before serving, and its ready to eat with veggies from the fridge.
I mostly attribute San-J’s new Hoisin cooking sauce to flavoring this dish and bringing it to life. For those who have never tried it, it’s both savory and sweet so it’s versatile and an easy addition to your proteins and veggies. It’s made with their famous gluten-free tamari soy sauce and theres a little bit of ginger in there which I LOVE.
When it comes to easy meals, protein is always the hardest for me to meet.
Greens are easy to whip up and fats are easy to add at the end but animal protein requires some serious cooking and preparation. If I am not using my sous vide to cook up proteins, you know the crock pot will be getting plenty of use this fall.
