Wrap hack – 3 ways! Who else has been making these 2 minute lunch/snacks?
What you’ll need:
Whole grain sprouted tortilla: whole grain tortillas will be higher in protein, fiber and important nutrient like B vitamins which are important for converting the food we eat into energy. Choosing a sprouted variety is an added bonus. Sprouting results in more bioavailable vitamins and minerals meaning it is easier for our body to absorb and utilize.
Healthy spread: whether you are going to sweet or savory route, there are plenty of nutritious spreads to experiment with. Nut and seed butters pair perfectly with sweet fillings like jams and fresh fruit. For the savory route, try salsa, hummus or guacamole.
Produce: fresh fruits and veggies are a must for your healthy wrap. Try crunchy romaine lettuce in a taco-inspired wrap or sliced strawberries for a take on PB&J.
The combinations are endless! Let me know if you try this wrap hack by tagging me on Instagram with your sweet and savory creations.
