The holiday season is here! I shared my top tips to stay healthy during the busiest time of the year.
Stay healthy while traveling
It’s officially the season of travel. My first tip is to build travel snacks with staying power by pairing protein with produce. These SimplyProtein products have 11 grams of protein or more per package and 0-3 grams of sugar. They are also non-GMO, gluten free and free of artificial sweeteners or preservatives. You can find them at Publix.
Get in an extra serving of veggies
My next tip is to get in an extra serving of vegetables this holiday season and having a delicious dip makes it easy. I shared the savory organic plant based dips by Fresh Cravings, you can find them chilled in the produce section at Publix and Walmart. They’re made with nut-based protein and super food ingredients like chia and hemp seeds. They’re also vegan, gluten free and free of preservatives or added sugar.
Choose beverages with benefits
Beverages are another opportunity to get the nutrition you need – milk is what I call a beverage with benefits because it’s nutrient dense. a2 Milk is 100% real dairy milk and comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein and no A1. Published research suggests that a2 Milk® is easier on digestion and may help avoid discomfort in some individuals. You can find a2 milk at Publix.
Apple cider vinegar has been linked to a variety of health benefits from helping digestion to blood sugar regulation – and these are a fun way to incorporate it: apple cider vinegar gummies by Goli! The best part is that all you taste is the apple, not the vinegar. They are vegan, organic, gluten-free and fortified with B vitamins, which are important for energy. You can find these at Goli.com and on Amazon.
