While buying organic is ideal, it is not always feasible. Each year, the Environmental Working Group releases a “dirty dozen” list naming the top produce most likely to contain pesticide residue. On a brighter note, they have also included a “clean 15” list naming those with the least amount of residue found. Fun fact: Avocados were found to be the cleanest with only 1 percent of samples showing detectable pesticides.
