CBS, WTOC-TV: Back to School for Kids and Parents

AMERICAN HERITAGE CHOCOLATE, FRUIT FOR THOUGHT DRIED FRUIT, CELSIUS ENERGY DRINK

Today on Morning Break, I shared quick and easy options for kids and busy parents during the busy back to school season.

Cheesy Chive Muffins

These muffins check your dairy & protein boxes. Made with cheese, and nonfat milk, both good sources of calcium, whole wheat flour and heart healthy oil. Get the full recipe on WTOC.ccom. These are great to make ahead of time and enjoy all week long.


Chocolate Granola

Next we checked our whole grain boxes with Chocolate Granola. Made with whole grain oats, heart-healthy nuts and American Heritage finely grated chocolate powder which has a quick, and even melt and is made with a unique spice combination based on popular recipes from the 18thcentury including cinnamon and nutmeg, red pepper. Dried Fruit Snacks and Snacking Veggies

For produce, I shared  convenient dried fruit snacks by Fruit for Thought. Dried fruit has the same vitamins, minerals and fiber as whole fruit, just the water has been removed. I love these for kids  because they have no added sugar or any other ingredients.

Keeping parents energized
