Summer snacking staple: salsa

The perfect low calorie condiment. I love Fresh Cravings salsa because its so fresh that you can only find it chilled in the produce section. It’s made with fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes, crisp handpicked veggies, zesty peppers and spices so it tastes homemade. The recipe is never cooked or pasteurized you can find the organic at Publix and traditional at Walmart and Kroger.


Summer dessert essential: ice cream

I shared the same delicious Halo Top that we know and love but now it’s on a stick! The new Halo Top Pops are portable, snackable and only 50-60 calories each. One serving is 3 pops and good source of protein with 7-10 grams. The perfect pop for summer!

Summer workout essential: a better-for-you energy drink

Celsius is better for you energy drink with zero calories and zero sugar that contains caffeine. Some research suggests that caffeine in moderation can help stimulates thermogenesis, which may increase the amount of calories you burn in a workout – they actually have studies to show that. Summer beach essential: a stand for your iPad to watch movies

Finally, I shared iCaddy which is a universal mobile device stand for tablets and smart phones that you can use to watch movies when you are at the pool and was actually invented by a 7 year old girl. It includes a USB power bank, charging cable and ear buds all of which fit in the built-in storage compartments. It’s also foldable, comes in 13 different patterns and solid colors and retails for less than $25 on amazon!

What you’ll need:
3 egg whites
1/4 cup coconut flour
1 tsp truffle dust
Toppings of choice: cheese, marinara, mushrooms, basil etc

Whaat to do:
1️⃣Mix egg whites, coconut flour and truffle dust in a mixing bowl. Add a tablespoon of water as needed for batter just cute come together.
2️⃣Press batter into thin crust and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Top with toppings of choice and bake for another 5 minutes if adding cheese for cheese to melt.

What you’ll need:
2 tbsp maple syrup 
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 @autumngloryapple 
1/4 cup yogurt

What to do:
1️⃣Preheat oven to 375 F
2️⃣Whisk together maple syrup and cinnamon.
3️⃣Slice off the top of the apples and using a melon baller to scoop out the core. Use a paring knife to make two circular cuts around the core, then place your apple cut side down on a cutting board and slice crosswise.
4️⃣Brush with maple syrup mixture, place in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.

What you’ll need:
1 cup Quaker old fashioned oats, ground into flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp almond butter, warmed to a liquid consistency

What to do:
1️⃣Preheat oven to 350 F.
2️⃣In a large bowl, combine oat flour, baking powder, yogurt and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon until combined. 
3️⃣Add batter to clean working surface and use a wooden roller to roll the dough into a long rectangle about 1/4-inch thick. 
4️⃣Brush almond butter on one side of the dough and sprinkle with coconut sugar and cinnamon.
5️⃣Roll dough into a long roll and slice into 4 cinnamon rolls Place in a small baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes.
