Whether you’re single or attached– Galentine’s Day is for all women so I brought some delicious and festive food and drinks to celebrate the holiday.
Healthy popcorn bar
To kick off girl’s night we have a healthy popcorn bar! Popcorn is a whole grain, I make mine with Thrive Algae Oil which is a super versatile neutral tasting oil that has a high smoke point AND a higher level of monounsaturated fat than any other cooking oil – you can find it on Amazon and in most major retailers. Let that cook on the stove top with your kernels – then get creative with nutritious toppings.
Make crunchy pink radishes the star of your healthy appetizers
Next, I shared avocado radish crostini made with Dandy ready radishes, which have been cut for you so are super convenient – they also come in coins and mini sticks which you can add to a beautiful Valentine’s Day salad. Radishes are low in calories, high in vitamins and minerals and add a fun festive touch.
Naturally sweetened brownie bites
For dessert, we have brownie bites sweetened exclusively with dates and 100% pomegranate juice. Start with your crumbled dates and flour, then add POM Wonderful pomegranate juice which has no added sugar, fillers or preservatives. Pomegranate juice is one of the highest sources of polyphenol antioxidants, which have been linked to things like memory and athletic performance. Add your remaining ingredients and pour into your muffin pan before baking.
Celebrate your best girlfriend with red and white wine spritzers
Start with 3 ounces of sparkling water and garnish, then add 3 ounces of the Pasqua Romeo and Juliet red or white wine. These are produced in Verona, Italy where Romeo and Juliet took place. In fact, the label is a photo of the famous grafted wall of Juliet’s house where around 3000 love notes are written each day.
