Halloween is just around the corner! If you plan on hosting a Halloween party this year, catch my tips on Las Vegas NOW!
Halloween Chips and Dip
First I shared single-serve Halloween chips and dip . First cut out your Halloween chips with whole grains tortillas and Halloween cookie cutters. Then add your healthy oil. I used Thrive Algae Oil which is this super versatile neutral tasting oil, it has a high smoke point and more good monounsaturated fats than any other cooking oil – you can find it on Amazon, Albertson’s, Whole Foods, Walmart, Target and Sprouts in the Las Vegas area. Then you want to add spices, which add flavor for virtually zero calories. The Simply Organic spices are as real as it gets – they are directly sourced from growers, have no fillers, and purchasing helps support organic farming and combating food insecurity. Pop those in the oven and serve with your dips.
Build your own healthy halloween party mix
Next I shared a “build your own party mix station” with popcorn, dried fruit and two better for you candy swaps. For chocolate lovers, I shared chocolate covered Skinny Dipped almonds. These are high in protein, low in sugar and crunchy with a touch of salt. Made with only real ingredients including ethically sourced, non-GMO chocolate. You can find in the candy aisle at Smiths and Target. For candy lovers, I shared gummies by SmartSweets, which is a female-owned and founded company. Each bag only has 3 grams of sugar, less than 90 calories and are smartly sweetened without sugar alcohols or artificial ingredients.
Spooky Sangria
Finally I shared a no-added sugar spooky sangria. Start by muddling the fruit. Next add your spooktacular wine. I used the California-grown wine called Auspicion, which symbolizes elements of mystery and mysticism. The red is more full-bodied but you can also use the white for a bright, tropical taste.
