Fall is here! I shared better for you fall entertaining ideas today on Good Food Friday.
Appetizer
A veggie platter is an easy and nutritious fall appetizer. I served with salsa by Fresh Cravings and their NEW Queso which you can find at Kroger. Their salsa is one of the only ones found chilled in the produce section– it’s made with fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, crisp handpicked veggies and the recipe is never cooked or pasteurized. So it seriously tastes homemade. You can find the organic at Publix and Kroger and Traditional at Walmart.
Entree
For our main course I shared a 3-ingredient pasta served two ways. The Veggiecraft Farms pasta is made with cauliflower, lentil and pea flour so unlike traditional pasta, this is a good source of plant protein and fiber plus it has 0 grams of fat. You can find it on Amazon and veggiecraftfarms.com. It’s also non-gmo, vegan and naturally gluten free.
Dessert
When it comes to desserts, coconut oil and flour are my favorite to use because they are naturally sweet so you don’t have to add as much sugar. I shared an apple crumble made with the Squeezable Organic Virgin Coconut Oil by Nutiva which you can find at Whole Foods, Walmart and nutiva.com. Nutiva has a full line of baking products including organic gluten free coconut flour and organic unrefined coconut sugar both of which I used in this recipe.
Beverage with benefits
For our beverage I shared saffron and fruit infused rose waters by H2Rose. They’re super hydrating and come in these four delicious flavors you can find on amazon and at whole foods. Staying hydrated is important for skin, heart, and muscle health and if you don’t like the taste of plain water, this is a delicious way to help meet your recommended 2-3 liters per day.
