Today on Good Food Friday, I shared better-for-you snacks to help meet your fruit, vegetable and protein needs
Veggie snack for kids
Veggies can be the hardest to get kids to eat. They key is to make them fun and easy. I made fries with a twist using Mann’s Sugar Snap Peas and Butternut Squash Rotini. I love their products because they really are veggies made easy – they’re washed and ready to eat, can be enjoyed straight out of the bag and come in fun shapes.
Fruit snack for kids
Next, I shared a fruit option – that looks just like french fries! They are the Arctic ApBitz® dried apple snacks made from 100% apples, no added sugar. Kid’s love these because they come in fun French fry shapes so they are snackable, dippable and easy to take on the go. You can find the arctic Goldens and Arctic granny varieties on Amazon. Protein snack for kids
A great protein snack for kids is the Beef Biltong Snacks by Stryve which essentially is a better for you beef jerky. It’s air-dried beef, sliced thin and more tender than beef jerky so it’s easier to chew. It has zero grams of fat, no added sugar and is high in lean protein with 36 grams per bag.
