I’m on News 4 Jacksonville’s River City Live with healthy game day eats!
First we have a healthier gameday snack board with an avocado oil mayo and chipotle mayo dip. I always use Primal Kitchen Mayo with Avocado Oil in my homemade dips and sandwiches because it’s made with just 6 simple high quality ingredients like Certified-Humane, organic cage-free eggs and avocado oil instead of canola oil plus no added sugar. It’s also the number 1 mayo brand in natural grocery stores. You can find it at Publix and Whole Foods. I serve with fruits, veggies these antipasto skewers made with mozzarella, artichoke hearts and the Volpi Foods heritage Prosciutto, genoa salame and uncured pepperoni nuggets which I get at Publix. I like the Volpi products because it’s a 4-generation women-owned company that uses all natural ingredeints including raised responsibly pork
Next we have walking tacos. Start with your chips then add your cooked protein. I used Impossible Foods Impossible Beef from plants cooked with taco seasoning. I like the impossible products because they are versatile and an easy and delicious way to incorporate more plant-based protein. They also contain the same or similar amount of protein compared with animal meat counterparts but 0 cholesterol.
For dessert, we have almond flour black beans football brownies. I love baking with Nature Eats nut flours like the almond or walnut because they naturally gluten-free and low carb, and higher plant protein than regular flour plus offer good fats. You can find them at Walmart. And beans are a great baking hack because they add more plant protein and fiber as a well as a fudginess.
