Thanksgiving BOWLS – loaded with all the goods: mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, cranberry sauce and roasted veggies.
Only one day left until the ultimate foodie holiday. What’s on the menu? I am all about the classics and these bowls embody everything FOOD that I love about the holiday.
Ideally, these would be great to make after the holiday with leftovers.
I made these after my back to back Thanksgiving segments… had to put those leftovers to use. These came together in five minutes and I will definite be recreating after turkey day.
I especially love that these are a good balance of carbohydrates, protein and healthy fat. Thanksgiving food gets a bad rep but as a dietitian, it has my approval! I also think that the holidays are not a time to focus on making 100% healthy choices but rather a time to enjoy the company you are with. Enjoy a slice of pumpkin pie (or 2!).
I am excited to be in Chicago this Thanksgiving with my family who is in from California. It’s my first time to the windy city so I look forward to exploring. Let me know your recs on Insta if you have them!
