Spring Sangria made with a wine that gives back. Celebrate Mother’s Day with a refreshing and light sangria made with Frontera’s best-selling Chardonnay.
Chances are that you have your Mother’s Day menu set – breakfast in bed and dinner on the porch. In my experience, little thought goes into the beverage. Mother’s Day should involve a little wine or bubbly. After all, there is no better way to celebrate the most important woman in your life!
This is a casual drink that is easy to throw together with seasonal produce you have on hand.
Sangria is one of those recipes that looks festive and is incredibly easy to put together. My rule of thumb is to use produce that is in season. During spring and summer, it’s all about the berries. While red wine sangria is what many of us may be familiar with, a white wine is a more appropriate pairing to spring fare. This lighter wine is best enjoyed with lighter proteins like grilled fish and chicken.
This sangria is made with Frontera’s best-selling Chardonnay which has a fruity taste and a touch of sweetness.
I love this brand because they are the ultimate social wine. From brunch-time to happy hour to casual evenings on the porch – they are meant to be enjoyed in our everyday life. Their 1.5 liter bottles retail for $12 and you can find them in most local retailers.
What’s also great about Frontera is that they give back.
Now through Labor Day, a portion of the proceeds from every Frontera 1.5-liter bottle sold will be donated to the Challenged Athletes Foundation’s Operation Rebound® program. They provide U.S. veterans, servicemen and first responders with permanent injuries opportunities to use sport and fitness to help them re-integrate into their communities and enhance their quality of life.
