When it comes to nutrition, I am all about low-hassle convenience. These past few weeks have been busy and having healthy options that I can easily pack with me, has been super important. Raw nuts and whole fruit are usually my go-tos. I was so excited when Shine Organics sent me a generous care package of their fruit, veggie and superfood packs because they’ve added a whole new dimension to on-the-go nutrition.

Their packs contain blends of organic fruits, veggies and superfoods. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about refrigerating them. You can easily pack them with you on the go. It’s like packing a smoothie in your book bag that you can drink any time of the day.

While I love these on their own, I’ve been experimenting with them in various recipes- adding them to salad dressings and as an addition to summer smoothies. Today I am sharing my tropical mango and banana smoothie featuring their delicious Elevate pack that contain banana, carrot, mango, orange, wheatgrass, turmeric and chia. Talk about super foods! Though I don’t use turmeric much in my recipes on Nutrition By Mia, I can speak at length about it’s nutritional powers. Turmeric has incredible antioxidant capacity and has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic disease.

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup frozen mango
  2. 1/2 banana
  3. 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt
  4. 1 cup water
  5. 1/2 pack of Shine Organics "Elevate"
Instructions
  1. Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
